IATA: Air traffic won't return to pre-COVID level before 2024

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) said on Tuesday that air traffic is not likely to return to pre-coronavirus pandemic levels before 2024, APA reports citing Teletrader.

IATA pointed out that the airline sector's recovery will be slower than previosuly anticipated and noted air traffic is expected to drop 63% in 2020.

Earlier, IATA predicted that air traffic will return to pre-pandemic levels in 2023 and stated that airlines are set to lose $84.3 billion in 2020 as a result of COVID-19 travel restrictions.
