New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) has changed the list of candidates nominated for the extraordinary parliamentary elections, APA reports.
The name of Maniyeva Aygun Shaitdin, whose candidacy was nominated from Khazar first electoral district No. 12 by the decision of the NAP Board of Directors dated July 17, was removed from the list. NAP will be represented by Piriyeva Parvana Alovsad from Khazar first electoral district No. 12.
The rejection of Maniyeva Aygun Shaitdin candidacy is related to the fact that her father, former member of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) Shaitdin Aliyev, is a member of the Central Election Commission.
According to the requirements of the legislation, in order for his daughter to be a candidate for member of parliament, Shaitdin Aliyev was required to resign from the CEC membership.
