The Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) has congratulated the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev, on the occasion of June 26 – Day of Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
The congratulatory message was delivered by the Speaker of the Parliament, Sahiba Gafarova.
Sahiba Gafarova stated that the heroic deeds of the Azerbaijani Army during the 44-day Patriotic War have been inscribed in the nation’s history in golden letters: “The sacrifices of our martyrs, who gave their lives for the restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and historical justice, will never be forgotten. We can confidently say that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces will grow even stronger in the coming years. On the occasion of the Day of Armed Forces, we extend our congratulations to the Commander-in-Chief, as well as to the soldiers and officers of our Army.”
