The new number of Azerbaijani citizens who went missing as a result of Armenia's military aggression against Azerbaijan has been unveiled, APA reports citing the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Note that 3967 people were registered as missing persons as a result of the military aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan.
3,959 of them are missing persons who went missing in the First Garabagh War, and 8 are missing persons who went missing in the Patriotic War and the subsequent period. The identities of 2 of the 8 people who went missing during the Patriotic War and its aftermath have been identified.
At present, the number of missing persons in the Patriotic War is 6.
Out of 3,959 people who went missing in the First Garabagh War, 3,193 of them were military personnel, and 766 (69 children, 283 women, 334 elderly) were civilians. Among the missing persons, 3676 are men and 283 are women.
As a result of Armenia's military aggression against Azerbaijan, 151 missing martyrs have been identified.
