881 people registered as candidates for parliamentary elections

So far, 1,508 people have been nominated for the extraordinary parliamentary elections, Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Mazahir Panahov said, APA reports.

1,462 candidacies of people nominated for the extraordinary parliamentary elections have been approved, 1,420 of them were given signature sheets. So far, 1,191 people have returned their signature sheets, and 881 people have registered their candidacy for the extraordinary parliamentary elections.

Note that the deadline for submitting election documents to the district election commission, which is necessary for the registration of candidates for elections, ended on August 2 at 18:00.

Note that extraordinary parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for September 1.
