On April 22, a conference themed “Ancient Texts and Classical Sources Expose Armenian Forgeries and Fabrications, or Ethno-Hay Deceit and Intrigues About Azerbaijani Territories” was held, jointly organized by the Intellectual Property Agency and the Western Azerbaijan Community, APA reports.
The conference was attended by a number of officials, representatives of various organizations, and staff members from higher education institutions.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Board of the Intellectual Property Agency, Kamran Imanov, stated that the aim of the event is to draw attention to intellectual property, books, and the copyright that protects them, to support creativity, to promote a culture of intellectual property, and undoubtedly, to expose Armenian forgeries, fabrications, and lies.
He also noted that in 2024, 660 works by 346 authors (right holders), including 543 works by 306 authors, were registered electronically: “Since 1996 when official registration of works was implemented until now, 16,228 works and objects of related rights, including 2,125 works have electronically been registered in the Agency.”
The Chairman of the Western Azerbaijan Community, Aziz Alakbarli, emphasized that one of the main goals ahead is to convey the truths about Western Azerbaijan to the world: “As you know, over the past century, Armenians have falsified all historical sources related to this region and presented facts that do not reflect the truth to the international community — and they have managed to convince the world of these lies. In order to deliver the truths of Western Azerbaijan to the world, we must first erase those lies from people’s minds.”
Additionally, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Western Azerbaijan Community during the conference.
Following that, speeches were delivered on preventing Armenian forgeries.
Note that the conference was dedicated to World Book and Copyright Day.
