The professional holiday of cinema workers in Azerbaijan was established by the Decree of National leader Heydar Aliyev dated December 18, 2000.
"Azerbaijanfilm" has so far produced more than two thousand films of different types and genres.
Azerbaijani cinematography, which is celebrating its 126th anniversary this year, has passed a unique development path full of significant events in the past.
As every year, August 2 - Azerbaijan Cinema Day is celebrated in Azerbaijan with a series of events.
