"We call on states to submit their biennial climate change reports," Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Simon Stiell said during a High-Level Dialogue on Climate Transparency held ahead of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), APA reports.
He stated that we must develop international climate plans. This is one of the main requirements of the Paris Agreement: "We invite countries to present their biennial climate change reports. In this regard, the UN is always ready to assist any state in this direction. This is crucial for ensuring the transparency of processes carried out regarding the climate change. I wish Baku success at COP29. This is an excellent and irreplaceable opportunity for Azerbaijan as well. I hope you will seize this opportunity for a better climate."
