"The COP Presidencies Troika is working to ensure that the consensus reached at the COP28 summit in the UAE is implemented by all participating countries," the President of COP28, UAE’s Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan Al-Jaber said during a panel discussion in Baku within the framework of the UN Climate Change Preliminary Conference (PreCOP) titled "The road to PreCOP-1.5 mission: Expanding International Cooperation," APA reports.
He emphasized that said format plays an important role in facilitating exchanges of ideas between countries: "International cooperation in this field is crucial. To achieve our goals, it is important to invest in new energy sources, strengthen the healthcare system, and ensure that the efforts made are monitored with accountability. The new contributions to be presented in February are also essential for making progress in the implementation of the provisions of the Paris Agreement. The commitments we have undertaken must be fulfilled in the conditions of mutual cooperation."
