Participation of private sector at COP29 is crucial - CACE Director

Climate financing is a driving factor for development. Countries need significant investments to transition to lower-carbon economies, Director of the Climate Action Center of Excellence (CACE), Alexandra Soezer, said during her speech at the Baku Energy Forum held as part of the Baku Energy Week, APA-Economics reports.

She stated that for the first time at COP28, representatives from the private sector were involved in implementing more sustainable actions related to climate. "Expectations for COP29 include commitments regarding climate finance. At the same time, the participation of the private sector is important."
