We knew six years ago, when we initiated actions at the London Climate Action Week, that climate discussions were taking place on various platforms. However, there was no major platform that encompassed the urban environment. Here, we have united representatives from the entire community, and the education sector was its most fundamental component, Malini Mehra, the Ambassador for the London Climate Action Week (LCAW), said on the 4th day of the Baku Climate Action Week, APA reports.
She noted that education shapes norms and values. These norms and values create social consensus, which in turn is a crucial factor for environmental measures.
"Small and medium-sized enterprises should be your main partners. Environmental protection must become part of the culture. Universities play a vital role in shaping such a culture," she added.
