IEA, Azerbaijan to ink declarations on reducing methane emissions

Together with COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev, we will carry oute measures to reduce methane emissions, Christophe McGlade, Head of the Energy Supply Unit of the International Energy Agency (IEA) said during his speech on the first day of the Baku Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports.

"On the background of these measures, special declarations regarding methane gas will be signed and steps will be taken to make the measures to be taken a reality. Another direction of our cooperation will be related to the direction of investments in the direction of low emissions, and the strengthening of investment processes in the direction of technological equipment," he noted.
