Together, the Turkish states are the 12th largest economy in the world and the 3rd largest global energy provider, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev said during his speech at the panel titled "Today and future prospects of Turkish cooperation" held in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Agreement, APA's Türkiye correspondent reports.

He underlined that the total export of goods from the OTS countries has also shown a significant increase over the years: "To be more precise, from 420.4 billion dollars of exports in 2015, we have reached 619 billion dollars in 2023. This remarkable growth underlines the economic vitality of our region."

Kubanychbek Omuraliev also underscored that OTS member countries have an exceptional role in the field of energy and transport. On the other hand, it is expected that the conceptual document "Turkish Green Vision: Unity for a Sustainable Future" will be adopted at the OTS Summit in Bishkek on November 6.

"This initiative is in line with the Paris Climate Agreement and seeks to unite the efforts of the Turkic states on climate change. As the global climate summit COP29, which is scheduled to be held in brotherly Azerbaijan this year, approaches, OTS aims to develop and implement strategies that not only protect our environment, but also increase the resilience of our region to climate impacts. In addition, we plan to hold the first meeting of OTS ministers responsible for environment and ecology within the framework of COP29," he added.
