The COP29 NGO Coalition was established in July 2024 at the initiative of the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum. In a short period, 260 NGOs from 60 countries joined the Coalition, 90 of which fall under the UNFCCC Constituency category. Eight out of the nine UNFCCC Constituencies are represented in the Coalition. Additionally, many umbrella organizations that unite hundreds of NGOs are part of the Coalition. From Azerbaijan, there is only one organization, the umbrella entity Azerbaijan National NGO Forum.
The Forum announced that similar meetings will continue.
