The preparation process for COP29 is ongoing, intense work is being done in this direction, COP29 President-Designate and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev told journalists, APA reports.
He stated that both the negotiation process and the preparation for the event are being carried out within a comprehensive program: "Events that are held related to climate and nature conservation are contributing to COP29 and the 'Green World for Solidarity Year.'"
Mukhtar Babayev, while answering the question about the need and effectiveness of creating a specialized fund, said that significant foundations around the world are working on these issues to prevent risks from climate change: "Attracting additional funds to these funds is one of the main priorities of COP29."
