”The state policy implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev is aimed at preserving and promoting all cultural values, regardless of religion and ethnicity. Every cultural asset is protected and continuously promoted in the international world,” said the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli, at the meeting of heads of delegations on "Culture of the XXI century: sovereignty or globalism?" held within the framework of X St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum in Russia’s St. Petersburg city, the Ministry of Culture told APA.
It was noted that a meeting of culture ministers will be organized within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) to be held in Baku in November this year. The impact of climate change on cultural heritage, as well as the role of culture in environmental protection will be discussed at the meeting.
It should be noted Russia’s St. Petersburg is hosting X St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum on "Culture of the XXI century: sovereignty or globalism?". The Azerbaijani delegation led by Culture Minister Adil Karimli is also participating in the forum where 80 countries are represented.
