"During the COP process, all major decisions must be taken unanimously. However, proposals that do not require unanimity but will move us forward in the climate issue will also be discussed," said Elnur Soltanov, Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, Chief Executive Director of COP29 Azerbaijan said this in an interview with "Anadolu" agency, APA reports.
According to him, Azerbaijan has put forward 14 proposals in this regard, and unanimity is not necessary for the implementation of these proposals: “We can realize this with some countries or companies. Climate finance, energy, agriculture, water resources, tourism, digitalization, green cities and human resources are also included in Azerbaijan's proposals. During COP29, as in the Olympic Games, we will call for a ceasefire around the world," - he said.
