"Preparations for COP29 are going very well," Vladanka Andreeva, Resident Coordinator of the UN in Azerbaijan told APA within the framework of the March for Climate Action meeting.

She underlined that there are less than 40 days until the 29th World Climate Conference in Baku: "The UN wants COP29 to be successful. This is a global gathering hosted by the government of Azerbaijan. It is vital that the global community comes to a consensus so that we can take urgent climate action to limit global temperature increase to below 1.5 degrees Celsius. The UN country team, where I lead 18 agencies in Azerbaijan, is cooperating very closely with the COP29 presidency team to raise awareness, discuss climate change and climate action."
