The plane of Steve Witkoff, the U.S. President's Special Representative for the Middle East, has entered Russian airspace, APA's Russian bureau reports.

The aircraft, based on information from the "Flightradar24" service, took off from Florida, crossed the Atlantic Ocean, and then passed over Norway, Sweden, and Latvia.

As of 10:00 Moscow time, the plane was over the Tver region. It is expected to land in Moscow shortly.

Note that this will be Witkoff's fourth visit to Russia since February 2025. Trump's special representative has been actively involved in negotiations to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

Previously, American media reported that the Trump administration had prepared a final proposal regarding a ceasefire. Based on that proposal, it is assumed that the U.S. would recognize Russia's control over Crimea. Ukraine has stated that it will not accept such terms.
