Another prisoner exchange took place between Ukraine and Russia today, Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement in this regard, APA reports.
According to the report, a group of POWs were returned to Ukraine, and in return, Russian POWs were received from Ukraine.
The information states that the prisoner exchange took place on the basis of an agreement reached in Istanbul on June 2.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also made a statement about the prisoner exchange. Zelenskyy noted that this was the fourth prisoner exchange within a week.
According to him, among those returned today are those who have been in captivity since 2022.
He also noted that the necessary steps will be taken to return all those in Russian captivity.
