The meeting in London regarding Ukraine did not take place because the parties failed to bring their positions closer on certain issues, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said while commenting on the reduced level of representation in the talks between the U.S., European countries, and Ukraine in London, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
“As far as we understand, no issues have yet been resolved or positions brought closer,” the Kremlin spokesperson emphasized.
Peskov added that Russia continues contacts with the U.S. on the Ukraine issue: “Russia maintains contacts with the U.S., but there is no dialogue with Europe and Ukraine.”
Speaking about the new visit of Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, to Russia, the Kremlin official noted that there are no specifics yet; the situation is fluid, and everything is changing rapidly.
