Although Armenia participated in the discussions of two statements adopted at the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), later refused to sign these documents, the spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Maria Zakharova said at a briefing held today, APA reports.
She noted that most of the proposals from official Yerevan were taken into account while preparing these statements.
Zakharova also briefly responded to a question regarding the reasons behind Yerevan's refusal to sign the documents: "Address this question to them."
Note that the Armenian delegation, attending the last meeting of the mentioned body, did not sign the statements on "Principles of Ensuring Security in the Eurasian Region" and "Implementation of Unilateral Actions in Establishing International Relations."
