Russia called on India and Pakistan to show restraint and to engage in dialogue aimed at peaceful resolution of disputes, APA reports, citing the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It was noted that on April 28, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko received Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia Muhammad Khalid Jamali at his request.
During the meeting, the sides discussed various aspects of Russia–Pakistan cooperation, as well as the rising tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi following the April 22 terrorist attack in Kashmir.
The Russian side urged both parties to exercise restraint and engage in constructive dialogue to resolve differences peacefully.
