On June 4, 2025, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) announced the launch of a new function on the Gosuslugi portal, which will allow every citizen to find out the address of the nearest bomb shelter and evacuation point, APA reports.
The new tab in the personal account on Gosuslugi will show which shelter the user is assigned to and where he should go in case of an emergency. The system, already tested in the Kursk and Belgorod regions, can be extended to the entire country by the end of 2025, with the joint work of the EMERCOM and the Ministry of Digital Development.
According to the deputy director of the civil defense and population protection department of the EMERCOM, Sergey Starovoitov, the regions are actively filling the database to ensure the accuracy of the information.
