Russia has shot down 2,331 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from Ukraine within a week, APA’s Moscow bureau reports citing the Russian Ministry of Defense.
It was stated that from May 20 to 27, 2,331 kamikaze drones belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed by Russia’s air defense systems.
It was noted that in response to the increasing number of UAV attacks by Ukraine on Russian regions, Russia carried out strikes on military bases and defense industry facilities in Ukraine.
As a result of a retaliatory strike by the Russian Armed Forces on May 26, infrastructure facilities at the Starokostiantyniv airfield in Khmelnytskyi region, ammunition depots in Kharkiv region, and the command center of the S-300PS air defense system in Odesa region were destroyed.
