A Romanian citizen has been detained in Sochi for gathering intelligence on the deployment of Russian air defense systems, APA’s Moscow bureau reports, citing the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia.
According to the FSB, the individual admitted to collecting and sharing information regarding the location of Russian air defense systems. He reportedly spotted the systems on the road between Sochi and Adler and marked their positions on a map before sending the data to a Ukrainian intelligence agent named Vladimir.
The Romanian national has confessed to the charges, and an investigation is ongoing.
