Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov explained why the issue of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s legitimacy is important during the signing of documents on the settlement of the Ukraine conflict, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
Lavrov said the person who comes to power in Ukraine after Zelenskyy could question the validity of the document: “If those whose legitimacy is in doubt sign this document, those who replace them in power may call it into question.”
Lavrov stated that the most important task now is to prepare a peace agreement that will ensure long-term stability without creating security threats for Russia.
