Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday that the so-called peace formula proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is "nothing more than nonsense", APA reports citing Tele Trader.

Speaking at the scientific and practical conference Euromaidan: Ukraine's lost decade, he noted that this initiative is "unintelligent," calling Kyiv authorities "international beggars" and Ukraine itself an "endangered territory."

Lavrov stated that the collective West was using Ukraine "in every sense to contain Russia, inflict a strategic defeat on it, and prevent Moscow from playing the role on the world stage that it has a right to play." He also pointed out that the current role that the United Kingdom is playing is "even more aggressive, more sophisticated in its provocative assertiveness than any other participant, including even the United States."
