The attack by the Russian army on Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region is also part of efforts to create a buffer zone, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
When asked whether the Russian Armed Forces’ attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region could be described as an effort to create a buffer zone, the Kremlin spokesperson replied: "If we speak about the specific nuances of military operations, then of course, you should direct your questions to the Ministry of Defense."
Peskov emphasized that the attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region by the Russian army is being carried out, among other reasons, for the purpose of creating a buffer zone necessary to protect Russia’s borders in Ukraine.
Note that on June 8, reports emerged that the Russian army had reached the border of Ukraine’s Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions and had entered the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region
