The signal for direct talks must come from Kyiv, said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, Moscow has not seen any movement from Kyiv in this direction.
"Peskov stated that Kyiv must take certain steps in this regard," and added that Ukrainian legislation bans negotiations with Russia.
"We have not seen any action yet," emphasized the Kremlin spokesperson.
Peskov further noted that Russia continues its special military operation, but Moscow is ready to start talks with Kyiv without any preconditions.
