Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met with his Armenian counterpart Vahagn Khachaturyan during an official visit to Yerevan, APA’s Tbilisi correspondent reports, citing the Georgian Presidential Administration.

During the one-on-one meeting, the sides discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in various areas. The Georgian president thanked his Armenian counterpart for supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. The discussion also covered current political developments in both countries and emphasized the importance of regional peace and stability.

Kavelashvili noted that the recent trilateral meeting of deputy foreign ministers of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan in Tbilisi reaffirmed Georgia’s readiness to promote dialogue, peace, and stability in the South Caucasus. He expressed hope that the trilateral format will continue in the future.
