Yerevan asked for withdrawal of the temporary operational groups of the Russian border guards, Alexander Bortnikov, director of the Russian Federal Security Service confirmed this, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to him, a decision was made to withdraw temporary operational groups of Russian border guards.
Bortnikov also said that a part of the Russian border guards will remain in Armenia, they will protect Armenia's border with Türkiye and Iran.
The Russian FSB head added that in the near future, Russia will close the border crossing point at the Zvartnots airport in Yerevan.
