First "defense minister" of "DPR" Igor Girkin-Strelkov may leave Russian prison for the frontline

One of the leaders of the separatists in the Donbas region of Ukraine, the first defense minister of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" Igor Girkin-Strelkov has been released from prison and sent to a special military operation zone, APA reports citing NEXTA.

Russian telegram channels close to the law enforcers report that the lawyers managed to obtain the appropriate authorization from all relevant departments. As a result, Igor Girkin-Strelkov has replaced imprisonment with military service. In January this year, Strelkov received a four-year prison sentence for calling for "extremist activities".
