Two men died in an explosion of an unidentified device in Russia’s southern city of Stavropol, the city’s mayor, Ivan Ulyanchenko, told TASS, APA reports.
"According to preliminary data, an explosion occurred near an apartment house in Chekhov Street. As a result of the incident, two men died. The house sustained no damage, several cars were damaged," he said.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident.
According to the information, one of the deceased lived in a house near the site of the explosion.
There is also an investigation into the possibility that the incident may have been a terrorist act targeting Zaur Gutsiyev, a participant in the Ukraine war.
