Today, the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union (EU) will hold discussions regarding Georgia, APA’s Tbilisi correspondent reports.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys announced that he will present a six-point initiative on Georgia to the Council.
The minister noted that the issues to be discussed include a possible revision of the visa-free regime with Georgia and additional support for civil society.
“On today’s agenda is the initiative by Lithuania concerning Georgia. We are putting forward a six-point proposal on how to proceed with Georgia, where the humanitarian situation is deteriorating. Now is the right time to act. I will discuss this with my colleagues, and we have already shared our proposals in advance,” the Lithuanian minister stated.
