A total of 58 cases of the West Nile fever have been detected in Armenia, and 41 of them were hospitalized, APA reports citing News Armenia.
At a press conference Wednesday, Stepan Atoyan, Director General of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said that the first case of the West Nile fever in Armenia was reported on August 7, in Aragatsotn Province.
"From the 41 patients, the condition of four is severe, the others are of moderate severity," said Atoyan, adding that all of them are from Aragatsotn Province.
