Constitutional Court to announce election results within 14 days after voting in Azerbaijan

Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. The majority of the election constituencies have submitted the final protocols in connection with the presidential elections held on October 15 to the Central Election Commission (CEC), spokesman for CEC Azer Sariyev told APA. He said that according to the Electoral Code, election constituencies are to submit the final protocols to CEC within 48 hours after the voting.

According to Article 203.1 of the Electoral Code, CEC will sum up the results of the elections not later than 10 days and send them to the Constitutional Court.

In accordance with the legislation, Constitutional Court will announce the results of the elections within 14 days and the president-elect will inaugurate within 3 days after the decision of the Constitutional Court.

Sariyev also noted that CEC had not received a complaint after the voting.
