World Network of Election Observers to follow presidential elections in Azerbaijan

Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. World Network of Election Observers (WNEO) will observe the presidential elections in Azerbaijan. Press service of WNEO told APA that the network had been invited by the Central Election Commission and presented the list of the observers to the commission for accreditation. The mission will include representatives from 34 countries. They will observe the voting in 350 polling stations in Goychay, Mingachevir, Lankaran, Guba and Baku. WNEO observation mission will be in Baku as from October 13. Final report will be prepared basing on the observers’ opinion and made public on October 16.
WNEO was established in Tbilisi on July 3, 2008. NGOs from Bulgaria, Slovenia, Georgia, Moldova, Czechia, Poland, Finland, Estonia and Azerbaijan are among the founders of WNEO. The main mission of the network is to realize short-term observation in parliamentary and presidential elections in the post-Soviet and developing countries.
