Gianni Buquicchio sends letter to chairman of Azerbaijan Central Election Commission

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. Venice Commission of the Council of Europe is ready to send a long-term expert group in connection with the presidential elections in Azerbaijan. Press service of the Central Election Commission (CEC) told APA that Secretary of the Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio had sent a letter to the CEC.

Secretary of the Venice Commission said that he highly appreciated the activities carried out for preparation for the presidential elections. Venice Commission hopes that owing to the trainings held for the representatives of election constituencies, the election management will be more productive and transparent, and these elections will meet the standards of the Council of Europe.
