Azerbaijani Minister of Economic Development meets with Honeywell

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economic Development Heydar Babayev has received a delegation to Azerbaijan by Dave Cote, chairman and CEO of Honeywell, a US-based diversified technology and manufacturing conglomerate that produces a variety of consumer products, engineering services, and aerospace systems for a wide variety of customers, from private consumers to major corporations.
Mr. Babayev briefed the guests about Azerbaijan’s economic development, saying non-oil sector is also growing rapidly in addition to the oil sector.
“The growth in non-oil sector was 11% last year. Oil revenues are used to increase the social well-being of citizens and development of non-oil sector and human resources. Under s state program, 5 000 students will be sent for study abroad,” he added.
In turn, Dave Cote spoke about Honeywell, saying it has 83 affiliates and 13 joint ventures in 95 countries.
Babayev also noted that Azerbaijan created favorable conditions for investment in agriculture, tourism and infrastructure and invited the company Honeywell to Azerbaijan.
