Baku. Javid Zeynalov – APA. New Commander of the Internal Troops, Major-General Shahin Mammadov has been introduced to the personnel today, spokesperson for the Internal Troops Tarana Mammadova told APA.
New Commander was introduced to the personnel by Interior Minister, Colonel General Ramil Usubov: “Service heads, commanders of military units, military advisor to the President, Lieutenant-General Vahid Aliyev attended the ceremony. Major-General Shahin Mammadov expressed his gratitude for the confidence in him and said that he would justify this confidence and bring the readiness of the Internal Troops to a higher level.”
She said the newly-appointed Commander of the Internal Troops, Major-General Shahin Mammadov had been first deputy chief of staff of the Internal Troops. Former Commander of the Internal Troops Zakir Hasanov was appointed as Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense under the order signed by the President of Azerbaijan.
