He was replaced by Major-General Hikmet Hasanov, APA reports.
The Defense Ministry has confirmed the fact to APA.
“As part of a series of measures carried out according to plan, under a relevant order of President of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, Major-General Hikmet Hasanov is appointed commander of the formation. Major-General Nizami Osmanov, who has formerly held the same position, is appointed to the position of head of the main department at the Defense Ministry,” the ministry said.
