Armenia plans to fully replace Russia-produced communications systems by those meeting NATO standards

APA reports that the sides are currently negotiating in this regard.

The negotiations are being conducted within the framework of the program to improve communications system of Armenia’s armed forces. According to THALES representatives, Armenia’s Defense Ministry plans to fully replace Russia-produced communications systems by improved communications means meeting NATO standards.

Armenia’s Defense Ministry is also in talks with THALES company in connection with battle management systems.

Up to now, Armenia has purchased flight control systems for airport, as well as some systems for helicopters from THALES.

The flight control systems purchased from THALES have been installed at Khankendi airport, which is under occupation of Armenia.
