Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. The process of withdrawal of Russian servicemen from Gabala radar station will be completed in August, said Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov, APA reports.
According to him, handover process of Gabala radar station is being carried out within the Azerbaijani-Russian commissions: “The first stage envisaging the inventory of property has already been completed. In the second stage, the withdrawal of our servicemen and their properties will be carried out under the protection of Azerbaijan’s Interior Troops. This process is to be completed by August this year.”
Russia stopped the exploitation of Gabala radar station in 2012, because Azerbaijan increased the lease payment. Azerbaijan demanded $300 million lease payment from Russia for the station.
