Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Azerbaijani military engineers have designed a new reconnaissance vehicle on the basis of armored reconnaissance patrol vehicle, said Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense Industry Yavar Jamalov, APA reports.
According to the minister, this vehicle was supplied with 23 mm cannon, 2 machine guns with 7,6 mm caliber, AG – 17 grenade cup discharger, smoke screen and necessary intelligence devices.
Jamalov added that intelligence capabilities of the army would be increased by these vehicles. At the same time, it is possible to strike both ground and air targets of the enemy.
Jamalov said that MOS 15-barrel rocket fire system based on machine MT LB would be established at the military facilities. This system is considered to hit the manpower, equipment shelters and military techniques of the enemy. 55 mm rockets are being also used in armament of this vehicle.
The Ministry of Defense Industry has also created new patrol vehicle “Gurza”. This vehicle was equipped with two 7,62 mm and one 12,7 mm machine guns. The vehicle was designed for law-enforcement bodies.
