Baku. Victoria Dementeva – APA. Azerbaijan-Russia joint commission established on the closure of Gabala radar station is holding its first meeting, Russia’s ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin told journalists, APA reports.
He noted that the discussions mentioned today will be continued in Gabala. The ambassador said the sides also discussed which equipment can be withdrawn from Azerbaijan: “We must return Gabala radar station to Azerbaijan in the form that we received. In addition, the equipments that we have brought after the agreement are the property of Russia and we have the right to take them back.
According to ambassador, the issue will be solved soon.
“After that the documents will be signed according to which the station will completely pass into the jurisdiction of Azerbaijan and Russia will start withdrawing the equipment,” he said.
Ambassador found it hard to say how long the process will last.
