Demonstration held in Baku in protest to soldier’s death   - <span style="color: red;">PHOTOSESSION

According to APA’s correspondent, the demonstration was attended by parents of soldiers, who died during military service, as well as representatives of political parties, youth organizations and different NGOs. The action was watched by local human rights defenders, representatives of OSCE Office in Baku and some embassies.

Photos of soldiers, who died during military service, Azerbaijani and Turkish flags were hoisted at the demonstration. “Martyrs never die, Motherland can not be divided!”, "Stop to soldier death!" and etc. slogans were chanted by the participants.

No serious confrontation happened between the police and protesters.

Police tried to disperse the participants through loudspeakers and warned them not to violate public safety.

The protesters, who separated from the participants and sounded slogans in direction of Nizami cinema, were detained by the police.

Following the demonstration, a group of young people chanted slogans in front of the New Azerbaijan party. Some of them were detained by the police. APFP Youth Committee chairman Abulfaz Gurbanli, Musavat Party chairman Isa Gambar's son Turgut Gambar, Chairman of REAL Ilgar Mammadov are also among the detained persons.

Note that no one from Jeyhun Gubadov's famiy took part in the demonstration. His mother Samira Gubadova told APA that she did not join the demonstration: ‘My son died, I have no intention to join any action’.
