 Meeting held with foreign countries’ military attachés accredited in Azerbaijan

Baku – APA. A meeting has been held today with the foreign countries’ military attachés accredited in Azerbaijan. The Defense Ministry’s press service told APA that first military attachés of the US, Russia, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Iran, China, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Pakistan, Czech Republic, Belarus, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, Austria, Finland, Hungary and Zambia arrived at a military unit in Baku and attended the press briefing on peacekeeping battalion. Following this, the meeting was held with the peacekeeping battalion’s staff.

The military diplomats inspected classrooms at the Military Education and Training Center of the Armed Forces and the other equipments related with the center. At the end, the briefing was held at the Partnership for Peace Center.

Opening the briefing chief of the Defense Ministry’s International Military Cooperation Department Major-General Ramiz Najafov greeted the guests on behalf of Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister Colonel-General Safar Abiyev and gave the floor to Deputy Defense Minister Lieutenant-General Cingiz Mammadov. Deputy Minister informed the guests about the situation in the region, international military cooperation and Armenia’s aggressive policy.

The officers of the Defense Ministry’s International Military Cooperation Department delivered lectures on the recent innovations and future plans. At the end of the meeting the questions of attachés were answered.
