Azerbaijan State Border Service holds board meeting on the outcomes of 2007

SBS chief General Lieutenant Elchin Guliyev addressing the meeting said that organization led by Elchin Guliyev achieved several successes last year. SBS chief noted that service fighting activity of the body was strengthened in 2007, â€œBorder-guardâ€ resort, SBS Academy was established, relations with NATO and other international organizations were strengthened, new equipments were brought due to program on the technical development.
Guliyev stated that fund allocated for SBS from state budget in 2007 was increased 383.9% compared with 2005, 88% compared with 2006.
â€œAnd it strengthened material-technical base. New buildings, new frontier posts were constructed, training base was strengthened in military units. Frontier posts of troops which are established near contact front line have been provided with fighting techniques and observing equipments. At the same time modern equipments and navigation appliances were established,â€ he said. /APA/
