Aliaga Huseynov: Azerbaijani Armed Forces have no problem regarding drafting

Azerbaijani Armed Forces have no problem regarding drafting, military commissar, General Lieutenant Aliaga Huseynov said, APA reports.
He said that 40 thousand draftees evaded from the army in 1997 the number has reduced at present.
The military commissar said that reduction of army evasion is connected with the strengthening of Armed Forcesâ€™ material procurement.
Mr.Huseynov not supporting the reduction of drafteesâ€™ age level from 35 to 27 explained it with the solution of the problem of evading with various pretexts.
â€œThe draftees were evading till they are 27-year-old beforehand which created problems. The raise of age-level to 35 solved all the problems.
Only those who did their military service can be employed in state bodies. This is one of the factors preventing evasion from draft,â€ he said.
Commenting on reduce of conscription from 4 times to twice the military commissar said that conscription is realized according to the requirement of armed forces.
â€œWhen the conscription is realized four times few soldiers are demobilized and new soldiers start military service. It does not allow the armyâ€™s weakening,â€ he said.
Huseynov also underlined that the military registration and enlistment office has much to do in transition to professional army. /APA/
